Points system
POINTS FOR DRESSAGE, HUNTER TRIALS/ODE
All members can score points in each class they enter. These accumulate towards championships, for which trophies are presented at the end of the season. Points are awarded for up to the first six places, six points for 1st place, five points for second place etc. Where there are less than 6 competitors, points will be awarded accordingly, e.g. the winner of a 3 horse class receives 3 points etc. Non-members may compete, but points are awarded as if there were only members competing.
DRESSAGE
Club points will be awarded, as per British Dressage rules, to members gaining places in dressage competitions in any one season. One season will be from October to the following October and the points can be collected from the winter competitions and the Summer competitions (Sundays and Friday evenings). Points winners will become Club Champions and will qualify for the BHS Greater Manchester North West Counties Unaffiliated Dressage Championships.
HUNTER TRIALS AND ONE DAY EVENT
Trophies will be awarded to both the highest placed members in both the novice and open classes, either junior or senior for the Hunter Trials and the One Day Event if both events are run in one season.
