Indoor Hunter Trial 24 January

We knew to better last years event would take some doing but we can safely say that this years Indoor Hunter Trial definitely did that! On Saturday evening the course build started in earnest and before long a staggering 19 fences were in place, flagged and decorated. We weren’t sure whether it should have been re-classed as a human memory test rather a jumping competition so when Richard contemplated adding more fences he was quickly removed from the arena! The day dawned and despite the forecasters saying it would be a dry but murky day, the rain insisted on making a presence. The course walk started in earnest with plans being quickly sketched and recited! However, we need not have worried as the Juniors came in and showed everyone not only was the course perfectly jumpable but its well flowing nature made it easy to remember. We’re not sure the seniors felt the same though! The day proved not only a fun competition but a superb spectator sport with audience numbers growing each round, cheering everyone on. The competition was fierce but in the end it was our club members who took home the red rosette in all classes (Poppy Burgess, Sue Griffiths, James Pym and Caroline Dean) so well done to you but also well done to all our members who got placed.. A very big thank you to Richard Carruthers for designing the course and also to both him and Jane for promoting the event. Thank you to Judith for providing material for the fillers, people who donated their Christmas trees and of course to all our helpers.

Advanced Dressage Training

We are currently looking to organise some dressage training with some advanced trainers. These are likely to cost around £60/£70 per session, depending upon training and venue. If you are interested in taking this up please contact Emma Holland on emma@macgeek.co.uk or phone 079656 176827 so we can ascertain interest prior to booking a clinic.
