Clear Round Show Jumping Sunday 19th February 10am-2pm
Back by popular demand the course will start at 60cm and increase every 40 minutes or so. This time we will include a couple of rustic, working hunter style fences at the request of members. Each round costs £5 and chocolate will be awarded for all clear rounds. The venue is Richard Curruthers indoor school, Forest Gate Farm, Norley. Hot refreshments are available at a donation to charity, please bring your own mug! Dress is casual but safe, DFRC rules apply. Any further details please contact Holly Doyle 07912020429.
Georges Dewez dressage training 20th February
Training has been arranged for Monday 20th February. It is open to all Area 20 riding club members. The cost will be £45 for a 45 minute session plus £5 towards Georges petrol. The venue is Forest gate Farm, Norley , which has an excellent indoor surface. We anticipate that the sessions will begin at about 10.30 and the last one will finish at 6. Spectators will be welcome and refreshments will be available.

XC Clinic with Rachel Thompson Sunday 25 February
Somerford Park Farm – Ash Arena 2pm and 3pm.
Novice Group – height approx. 75cm and Intermediate Group up to 90cm. Cost £18. Hunter Trials at Kelsall Hill on Sunday 4th March 2012.
The 3 classes will run over the new cross country track at Kelsall Hill, NOT the BE course.
Please note that there is an Open Novice Class for the competitors who are not eligable for the smaller classes but who wish to compete round a smaller track. The 60cm class for beginners may have less fences but will run over the same distance. Any competitor who is eliminated for refusals may continue as long as they do not impede other competitors, slow down the running of the competition and are considered safe to do so by the officials.(Fall of a horse or second fall of a rider will mean elimination and the competitor will not be allowed to continue)

FIRST AID COURSE 18 February
FIRST AID COURSE with particular emphasis on equine emergency situations. The course offers comprehensive training including practical sessions covering most emergency situations that might well occur around horses. Classical Riding Clinic with Susan McBane 5 February

At Forestgate Farm Indoor Arena Norley. £25 per person, lesson of 3 for 1 hour. Susan McBane is a Classical Riding trainer who has worked extensively with Sylvia Loch. She incorporates Classical Riding principles and Equitation Behaviour Science into her lessons, aiming to promote harmony between horse and rider as well as self carriage of both horse and rider. £10 Member Rebate Voucher for Long Distance Ride Entries
Following the success of the Delamere Forest Riding Club team at the BRC Endurance Championships, the team have donated their prize money to the club to provide a £10 subsidy for other DFRC members to try out long distance riding. In Cheshire and adjacent counties, long distance rides of ~8-20 miles are organised by various groups such as Cheshire Endurance GB, North Staffs Bridleways and Border Bridleways. The routes do not require any jumping and are well marked. Ride organisers will usually endeavour to provide a “buddy” rider for any newcomers who want a riding partner. Future DFRC newsletters will contain dates of long distance rides in this area and members are encouraged to have a go and then claim a £10 rebate from the DRFC treasurer upon completion of their chosen ride!
